ABOUT ME

I like the chaos of a shoot day — the moment everything's about to go wrong and somehow doesn't, because someone thought three steps ahead. That someone is usually me.

I'm a producer based in Salford, Manchester, and for the past five years I've been the person behind the scenes making sure crews get where they need to be, budgets hold up, and schedules survive contact with reality. Documentaries, short films, commercials, branded content — if it needed logistics, contributor wrangling, or someone calm enough to rebuild an itinerary at 11pm the night before a shoot, I've probably done it.

I started out working in film and TV in Pakistan, across in-house and agency environments on all kinds of projects, before making the move to the UK to fine-tune my producing skills with a MA in Filmmaking from the University for the Creative arts and push past what I felt was a ceiling on the kind of work I could do back home.

 

The biggest project since has been "Pot of Gold " which is the first foreign funded film to be shot in the beautiful region of Kashmir, Pakistan. It went on to win Best Documentary Feature at Manchester Film Festival 2025 and is now available on Prime. Before that, I co-founded Dot Communication Arts, running budgets up to £80k and learning most of what I know about keeping a production on track without losing the creative vision along the way.

Right now I'm based in Manchester, working as a freelance TV and film producer. The projects change, but the reason I do this doesn't: I want to keep telling stories that give space to different cultures and different ways of seeing the world, and use whatever platform I'm building to speak about what's right.
